Hi,again! I’d like to look for an answer to the question tht appeared in this episode of the audiosrcipt,which that gets me confused a wee bit,’Not in so many words.’replied Mr. Montreux, in response to ‘You’re saying that Google is considering pulling out of China because their search engine is becoming too popular?’ said Mr. Morgan. I wish that wouldn’t cause any inconvenience of getting rid of my confusion here. As always,thank you all very much!!

Both Dez & I get a big buzz from hearing reports of students finding Down to Business English beneficial.

May I suggest that your students (and you) sign up for the Newsletter? In it we recycle the vocabulary and phrases used in the shows and update some of the topics we talk about.

I discovered your website quite recently and since then have used it with a number of high level Businesss English students. We find the materials stimulating and with a good range of subjects and also vocabulary. Your vocabualry explanations are really helpful. Dear Mr. Skip Montreux and Dez Morgan:
Im an English learner whose name is Allum from Taiwan. There’s some difficult problems tht have beaten me so badly,some of which are related to conditional sentences. I list them below:
1.watz the purpose of omitting if when it comes to were,had,and should? Were I you = if I were you; Had I known = If I’d known;Should anyone call = If anyone call,e.g.

2.COMPARE: If I hadn’t slipped on the stairs, I would ‘NOT’ have broken my arm. If I hadn’t slipped on the stairs, I would have ‘NOT’ broken my arms. wat would make it different by shifting the position of NOT?

With your help,I’ll be able to make much progress with my English.
